Rest and Restore Protocol
It's so easy to feel disconnected from yourself.
The coping skills you've been using encourage disconnection, shutting off. The messages have been to control your feeling systems, lessening your trust and dampening your ability to listen to the wisdom within you.
These strategies only increase the constriction within you that is counter to your natural flow, expansion, and health.

It's impossible to sleep, much less relax.
So wound up, exhausted. It's easy to blame work, the kids, responsibilities yet you know the twists and tangles are within you.

The Rest and Restore Protocol (RRP) meets you where you are, inviting you to unfold and decompress from the inside out.
This protocol provides an auditory experience of being held in the natural bodily rhythms and modulations. It is a sequence of ten 30-minute tracks and is used in conjunction with supplemental exercises and practices to expand your psychophysiological capacity for affect and interoceptive communication and facilitate visceral shifts in functioning.
Similar to the SSP, the RRP is not 'fixing' a symptom. Rather it is effective across a broad range of symptoms and behaviors because it address dysregulation and constricted patterns in the autonomic nervous system and dynamics iwth the structures and functions it regulates.

Deepen self understanding, connection, and trust.
Working with human nature of adaptations and neuroplasticity, we cannot make anything heal. We can provide the environment and stimulus that allows it to happen. By shifting the autonomic rhythms towards natural baseline, changes in the felt experience of being you happen naturally, allowing clarity and consistent behaviors to happen naturally. There is no more reliance on the thinking brain attempting to control and manage you!
Shelly Melroe was one of the few providers to collaborate with Unyte Health and the RRP creators, Dr. Stephen Porges and Anthony Gorry, through two phases of pilot use in actual client applications.
By incorporating RRP with other embodiment techniques from Integral Somatic Psychology and Sonic Anatomy, customized client experiences can address prenatal, perinatal, preverbal, and medical trauma imprints in the viscera which are often the root contributions to chronic pain, dissociation, and the psychophysiological barriers to reducing dependency on addictive behaviors.
Less talking, more restoration and growth.
It’s time to try something new and get beyond what has 'always' limited you.

Per Unyte Health:

RRP is informed by decades of research studying physiological rhythms in the body, including heart rate, respiration, blood pressure, and gut rhythms, alongside deep knowledge of advanced sound technology. RRP’s innovative approach to modulating neural rhythms through musical themes offers a non-invasive, accessible solution for promoting relaxation, restoring balance, and supporting overall vitality.
